12/11/11 - A Communicator calmly talked an excited caller through CCR instructions which helped save the life of his 63 year old mother.
12/7/11 - A Communicator talked a very distraught and excited caller through CCR instructions which helped save the life of his 48 year old mother. A note from the patient read, in part, “I can never thank you enough & know you’re a hero…”
9/26/11 - A Communicator answered a frantic call for help when a baby girl decided she couldn't wait to get to the hospital. The Communicator's calm, professional and caring demeanor, coupled with pre-arrival instructions, assisted several excited family members with the delivery of a healthy baby girl.
8/31/11 - A Communicator answered a 9-1-1 call which turned out to be a disconnect. When she called back, the Communicator learned there was a pulse-less, non-breathing 60 year old patient. The Communicator provided outstanding customer service while delivering lifesaving instructions until EMS arrived. The patient made a full recovery and was discharged from the hospital.
8/29/11 - A Communicator answered a call reporting a 50 year old male, unconscious and “having trouble breathing”. The Communicator expertly guided the caller through pre-arrival instructions in a particularly challenging situation, due to the patient’s size and inability to get him to the floor. The delivery of Pre-Arrival Instructions made the difference, as the patient made a complete recovery.
8/13/11 - A Communicator expertly talked a wife through CCR instructions which helped save the life of her 65 year old husband. A note from the patient’s son read, in part, “I have no doubt that the good work of the 911 operator had a significant positive impact on his recovery”.
7/5/11 - A Communicator provided outstanding customer service while working to calm a 10 year old caller whose father was severely injured. The Communicator provided potentially lifesaving instructions until EMS arrived on the scene.

7/29/10 - 2 Communicators were recognized by a former employee for their roles when his daughter called 9-1-1 to report she was in labor on her way to the hospital (her husband was driving), but the baby just wasn’t willing to wait! They posted the following comments: “Grandma & Grandpa Dyer would like to thank Mike C. for the outstanding job he did in assisting Danielle and Mitch in getting to Fire Station #5 where they found the help they needed to deliver their first child. Also, thanks to Chris S. for dispatching the call and to the "A" Shift at Station #5 for the great job they did in delivering baby Brayden who weighed in at 7-6 and 19 3/4 inches. You all are great."
7/3/10 - A Communicator properly provided pre-arrival instructions which helped save the life of a 77 year old man in the Town of Westport.
5/31/10 - A Communicator properly provided pre-arrival instructions which helped save the life of a 65 year old man.
5/24/10 - A Communicator properly employed EMD protocols and provided pre-arrival instructions while another Communicator assisted MFD units with accessing this patient in a remote, off road location. This teamwork helped save the life of a cardiac arrest victim in Madison.
3/8/10 - A Communicator assisted a gentleman who was on the ice on Mud Lake and lost due to thick fog. Excellent work on the Communicator’s part, coupled with a Dane County Sheriff’s Deputy and his recently acquired GPS unit, the man was guided safely off the ice.
3/7/10 - A Communicator provided a teenage caller with pre-arrival instructions for nearly 11 minutes, including several minutes of CPR after a child was shocked when a roof rake contacted electrical wires.
